WizDx Ez-Buffer™

The product WizDx Ez-BufferTM is designed to perform an abbreviated procedure for the manual isolation of nucleic acids from nasopharyngeal swabs. The buffer is at the same time the carrier on which the material (swab) is taken from the patient. After following the next steps according to the manufacturer's instructions (heat treatment, centrifugation) the product is obtained, ready for direct use in PCR reaction.

If the PCR reaction is not performed immediately after receiving the lysate, it is necessary to freeze it at -20°C. The lysate remains stable for 30 days under these conditions.

Ez - Buffer is optimized for CrystalMix products. It also demonstrates compatibility
with other molecular diagnostic assays.

To perform the isolation, the following are necessary:

  • Thermoblock (heating temperature not less than 90°C)
  • Pipettes with filter 100-1000 ul
  • 1.5 ml eppendorf test tubes with screw cap
  • Microcentrifuge or Centrifuge-Vortex
  • Test samples collected in sterile tubes containing 700 ul of Ez - Buffer may be isolated according to the instructions immediately after acquisition or stored frozen at -20° C or 80 °C. All applicable safety regulations must be observed when transporting samples.

Isolation Process Procedure:

  1. Add to sterile 700 ul Ez - Buffer tubes with sealable lids
  2. Place the swab from the patient into the tube and seal the tube tightly.
  3. Heat the sample in a thermoblock at 90°C for 5 minutes.
  4. Swirl for 1 minute (wortex).
  5. The resulting lysate is ready for PCR reaction. Add 5 to 20 ul of lysate to the PCR Mix. For CrystalMix PCR assays, add 20 ul of the resulting lysate..

Product quality control confirmed by ISO 13485 Certificate.
Buffer is stable at room temperature does not require refrigerated storage.
